How do successful people turn their dreams into a reality?
Do you know the secret to achieving your goals, living your dreams, and turning the dreams you envision in your mind into something real in the world?

Some people think it takes a lot of self-discipline to turn your vision into a reality. But the real secret is … Self-Direction.
Self-Discipline vs. Self-Direction
Let’s start with “self-discipline.” The primary meaning of “discipline” is corrective punishment. The word “self-discipline” implies that you train yourself to do the right thing by punishing yourself when you do the wrong thing.
“Self-direction” means you sustain a conscious purpose in the face of internal and external obstacles. Someone who is self-directed will ask “What progress have I made?” and “What matters most, right now?” or “How can I make a big impact with small changes in my life?“
What are the actions self-directed people choose?
When you are self-directed you maintain an intention to focus on progress, assess any new information that comes up from unexpected difficulties, and adjust your course when needed.
What to do if your motivation begins to waiver?
Remind yourself of the compelling reasons why you are seeking after a specific goal and re-affirm your commitment to achieving what you desire.
This is how you turn a vision in your mind into something real in the world.
